It seems like Russell Brunson is everywhere these days. He’s written articles for several magazines, he’s been on TV numerous times, and has been invited into more think tanks and discussion groups to discuss his ideas. But have you noticed that he’s been giving away free advice about leadership and events and individuals and what works? I recently did a search for Russell Brunson quotations and came up with many articles and videos and then compiled them into this little list of the best.
“A lot has been said lately about direction. What’s up now, this is Russell Brunson yet again. Still in beautiful Puerto Rico enjoying some of the best marketers, thought leaders, and personal development gurus in the world. My goal is simple, to help you become your own best boss, irrespective of whether you are old or young.”
“If you are not doing anything, stop doing nothing. Do not go chasing every limelight available, do not sit around waiting for someone else to do something, do it yourself. There are so many ideas out there it’s not possible to take the time to learn them. Find one, learn it, and go out and live it. When I left school, I said I wanted to be an entrepreneur. Today, that dream is now reality.”
“The difference between failure and success is the amount of work you put in. Most people appear to expect that the more they do, the better they’ll be. The problem is that most people never find out the way to do enough to make it successful, and if they try, they will fail.”
“What’s the worst that can happen? You make a mistake, and you pay the price, but it’s nothing compared to what could happen if you succeed. Have you ever noticed that few men and women who seem to live the life they’re supposed to live always seem to fail in one way or another? That’s because most of them never took the time to learn what they did not know.”
“The only way to get to direction is to accept the fact that you don’t have all of the answers, and then begin to find them out. If you are reluctant to change, that’s the sign of a person who doesn’t want to lead.” “The first step to leadership is having the ability to see where you’re not going and fixing that.” “A good leader does not just bark out orders; he listens to what his people are telling him and uses that information to come up with new ideas.”
“A fantastic leader understands that leaders get good results by acting decisively, by showing creativity, and by inspiring confidence. Leaders do not act based on rumors; they rely on solid facts. They plan ahead. They think before they act. They take responsibility.
“A great leader knows that nobody likes a do-it-yourself; everybody wants some assistance along the way. They recognize that it is not enough to just know the right thing to do; they must be able to take it out.” “The best leaders aren’t afraid to make mistakes and learn from them. Mistakes are a crucial part of learning, but mistakes should not stop you before you can get back on your feet.”
“A company has a better chance of success if its goods or services are exceptional, well priced, and widely available.” “Your customers will trust your judgment and take your advice seriously when you are cautious about their interests and their needs.” “You don’t have to be perfect to be good in company; the more things you’re willing to risk, the greater your chances for success.” “To be truly great at what you do, you will need to have a passion for this, and it ought to be a reflection of who you are.”
This book discusses various leadership styles. It lists the features of each style, which include: modesty, sway, honor, assertiveness, and esteem. I highly recommend this book to anybody who has ever considered becoming a leader, and especially someone that has a background in business or management. This book gives a very clear picture of just how critical leadership is, and how to develop leadership skills. Russell Brunson is a leader who achieved enormous success as both an executive and a coach.
He has written an extremely interesting and thought provoking read that everyone should read. If you’re looking for an exceptional introduction to the subject, with good information and effective leadership strategies, this is it. Highly suggested.
